We spotted two koalas on Kangaroo Island on our last day there. They were so incredibly cute! The other one was hiding behind a branch and as we were trudging through underbrush possibly full of snakes I decided this pic was good enough.

This area went through tremendous fires last year but just look at the regrowth - life always wins.

Spotted this typical South Australia old stone house with these snails living up on the steel fence posts in the blazing sun.
It can be hard to sleep-in in rural Australia. These pretty galah cockatoos are like an alarm clock. In some areas, like the Barossa Valley, there are literally hundreds of them squawking at dusk and dawn. Can you see all of them in the big eucalyptus tree?
